There is something that you can do to help create peace in the world, and that is to make yourself powerfully peaceful. Peace is not the absence of conflict nor the absence of war; really, peace is an energy within ourselves, which can be experienced when we recognize that we are souls, eternal beings who learn lessons in each lifetime. Our task in this lifetime, if we so choose, is learning how to become whole, healthy, and truly loving. Otherwise we have to repeat mistakes next time (negative karma) instead of reaping the benefit of our wholeness next time (positive karma). |

By turning your
mind within with the right intention, you discover, underneath the
many-surfaced emotions of everyday life, a deep, undisturbed pool of
spiritual well-being. You need to explore that part of the self, not
just to understand it but to experience it, again and again. This is a
very satisfying experience, one that refreshes the soul and fills it
with peace. Meditation is the vehicle for this, and it is a wonderful
way to go deep while staying steady and loving with yourself even
though all sorts of thoughts and feelings may be streaming by. From
this vantage point, it becomes easy to recognize the kind of thoughts
and feelings which are disempowering and self destructive.
The power of
self realization will work wonders in transforming those negative
mental habits. You will be able to stop blaming others for your
peacelessness, and get on with the work of cultivating your truth (your
peace). Peace is made up of many things: love, patience, wisdom,
tolerance, gentleness, stability, detachment, and more.... As you
practice putting these into your interactions with others, your very
nature will become peaceful. This will benefit not only yourself, but
those around you as well. In order to become a participant in world
transformation, it isn't enough for you only to be peaceful within. You
need to learn how to spread waves of peace through the quality of your
thoughts, words and interactions with others. This is what is taught in Raja Yoga Meditation.
Ours is a
peaceless world. Only when we truly identify with and act from that
powerful stillpoint of peace (the soul) that is inside each of us is it
possible to be part of the solution, not part of the problem. Real Beauty There are many people with beautiful features, but many fewer with beautiful faces. A beautiful face is a face whose age and form doesn't matter. A beautiful face reflects a mind that knows itself and loves other people. When you look at it, you feel it is seeing you properly, listening to you properly, understanding your heart. It is a face that is alive and sensitive. Beautiful features weather; a beautiful face has weathered everything and knows how to deal with life. You can trust it, rest in it, and find help in it. Meditation makes you beautiful because it gives you an aim. It shows you what you once were and what, with easy constant attention, you can become a consistently peaceful and positive person. Meditation is not just a periodic freedom from stress, it is a life of love and carefulness; love for your own mind and carefulness with the minds of others. The beauty it brings lasts through sickness and death and seeing it, others feel not jealousy, but opportunity. They feel: I can be beautiful too. COME AND EXPLORE THE MAGIC! |
